Winter Percussion

Who We Are

Lawrence Township Winter Percussion is a combined effort with membership from both Lawrence Central and Lawrence North High Schools. The group was founded in 2015. In their first season, LTWP finished as Indiana State runner up in Percussion Scholastic Open Class.

For those who are more familiar with marching band than winter percussion: IPA (Indiana Percussion Association) is similar to ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association), and WGI (Winter Guard International) is similar to BOA (Bands of America).  To learn more about these organizations, and to see performance schedules, visit their web pages:

2018 – Suspension

IPA State Championships: 1st place PSO

WGI World Championship Finals: 6th place PSO

The Lawrence Township Winter Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Neal Titus, is presenting their 2018 production entitled, ‘Suspension’, a re-imagining of the Tacoma Narrows tragedy.


2017 – Wanderlust

IPA State Championships: 2nd place PSO

8th place finish in WGI PSO World Championship Finals

Our show theme featured music from a busy office in New York, then “Wanderlust” transitions in theme and music to Paris, Bollywood, and Japan!
