Newsletter 9/22/16

Rehearsals and Performances:

  • Saturday, September 24 – Avon Invitational
    • Itinerary for Avon Invitational
    • Please bring cash when attending invitational competitions! Not all schools have the ability to take credit cards. The Avon invitational costs $7 for adults and $5 for students (5 & up) and senior citizens.

Volunteers:

  • Please follow the link to Meal Plan’s SignUp.com to browse volunteer positions. Help feed our kids, they will love you for it! The Marching Band season really needs everyone to step up and volunteer!

Orders and Purchases:

  • Across & Back show shirt orders (placed on August 22) can be picked up in the LC Performing Arts office, or at the end of Thursday night practice.
    • All marching band members are strongly advised to put their name in all apparel!
  • LAST CHANCE to purchase MPLT Spirit Wear – the final order will be placed on Monday 9/26/16
  • Items available: Across and Back show shirts, hoodies or sweat shirts, personalized MPLT fleece blankets, personalized Garage Signs, MPLT Sweatpants.
  • MPLT Photo Day will be on Thursday, September 29 at LC. Bateman Photography will be taking individual, section, group and senior photos.

  • BOA Grand Nationals Finals Ticket Pre Order:

Fan Club:

  • Don’t miss Fan Club Family Night each Thursday evening at practice, from 8:30 – 9:30pm. Typically, practice will end with at least one full run-through. This is our opportunity to get the Marching Pride fired up for their weekend performance by cheering them on! Fan Club Family Night is also your chance to connect with other Marching Pride parents, get answers to questions or concerns, hear important announcements, pick up spirit wear and much more! We hope to see you there!
  • Fan Club items available for purchase:
    • Car decals with the new MPLT logo – $5
    • Across and Back and Pride to Pasadena buttons – $3
    • Across and Back and Pride to Pasadena magnets and key chains – $3
  • Parents of Seniors: Please be sure to clear your calendars so you can be recognized at senior night with your student prior to the football game. Watch for more information!
    • Senior night for the LC students is September 30
    • LN senior night is October 7.

Remind 101:

  • All MPLT members and parents should sign up for Remind 101 to receive important updates and messages.

Hayride:

  • The Annual MPLT Hayride is set for Thursday, October 13. Requests for soup/chili/dessert/candy donations and volunteer help have been added to this dedicated Hayride SignUp.com link. Thank you for your support!

PRIDE TO PASADENA

  • Thanks to successful fundraising efforts, Marching Pride families will not have to make the October or November payment for our trip to Pasadena.

MPLT Payments:

  • Check Payments: All LC Students: make checks to LCPAA, all LN Students: make checks to LN Band. Payments can be turned in to the PA Office at either school.
  • Credit Card Payments: Visa, MasterCard and Discover payments can be made at:
    • LC: In the Performing Arts Office, call 964 7550.
    • LN: Go to kimberlycorman or Alison Goller (LN) at alisongoller with questions or to set up a financial agreement.
