Good Afternoon LTWP! The kids participated in the WGI Indy Regional this past week. They received a score of 87.75 on Saturday during prelims and advanced to finals on Sunday. They finished Sunday with a final score of 88.85 and a First Place Open Class trophy! Congrats ensemble! This is a working week for the ensemble so no show this week. Here are some points to be aware of.

Thursday Night Runs:

We need your support. Most Thursday nights LTWP has full ensemble rehearsals in the main gym at LN between 8:30-9:30pm. The rehearsal concludes with a full run of the show during the last 10 minutes. Friends and family are always welcome to watch these Thursday night rehearsals quietly. Your presence would better help the performers experience what a live performance would feel like. You may enter door number 16 and proceed to the main gym.

WGI Housing Info:

Performers will be staying overnight in the Dayton area during WGI Championships April 19th – 21st. We will leave school sometime on Thursday the 19th and come home very late on Saturday the 21st. We have had a change in venue for our WGI housing! To better serve our members and families we have decided to make a change in WGI housing to:

Parents that are interested in staying with the ensemble may book a room by informing Mr. Titus that you want to stay with the ensemble. Fan Club Volunteers:

Parents are needed to help create and hang up posters and decorations at each school in the next couple of weeks, leading up to the IPA State Finals and WGI World Championships.

Parents are also needed to provide donations for, and/or help put together goodie bags for the kids!

Good Morning LT and Happy Monday. This past weekend the ensemble participated in the New Palestine Invitational and scored 2nd with an 81.15. The staff is eager to get back to work tomorrow finishing the show!

Please see the attached itinerary about this busy weekend. This WGI regional is a two-day elimination event. We perform in prelims Saturday at 3:15pm. The top 5 groups in PSO will continue on to Sunday Finals. We will find out our performance time Saturday night after all groups have competed. The attached schedule for Sunday is a draft but will be very close to our real schedule. All performers will need to be at LN for breakfast at 6:45am on Sunday no matter what our performance time ends up being.

LTWP Family Needs our Support. This past week one of our LTWP members lost her father to medical complications. There is a viewing and Celebration of Life for John Vehslage tomorrow, Tuesday, March 6th from 5:00 – 8:00pm at Indiana Funeral Care: 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis IN. There will be services on Wednesday, March 7th at Castleton United Methodist Church: 7101 Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis IN. Viewing 10:00-11:00, services to follow. If you are interested in going to the Tuesday service, Lynn Hardman can carpool people from LN as well as provide pizza before rehearsal. The new MPLT season is right around the corner, and volunteer parents are already laying the groundwork. How can you help?

Uniform Help Needed:

• Help! We need some assistance to get the MPLT uniforms cleaned and organized so they are ready for next season. We will empty garment bags, gather uniforms and bag them to be dry-cleaned.
• Meet in the LC Uniform room on Monday, March 5th at 5:30 PM and Tuesday, March 6th at 6:15 PM.

The staff is extremely pleased and excited at the fast pace the ensemble is learning new material. LTWP had an awesome premier of the 2018 production of Suspension at our Friends and Family Show this past Saturday! This week we will travel to Franklin Central for our first competition of the season. The schedule for this Saturday is attached. On Saturday show days, performers will need to bring a lunch but will be fed dinner before the show and a snack on the ride home.

A few points about orders:

• This will be our one and only order for the 2018 season.
• Orders are due by rehearsal Feb 16th.
• You can turn in orders to your performing arts secretary or Mr. Titus from now until Friday or the payment drop box at LN. On Saturday, forms need to be turned in!
• 2018 performers get 1 show shirt included in your tuition. If performers would like additional shirts, jackets or hoodies you will need to fill out the form and pay for it. However, if you are only getting the included show shirt you do not need to fill out a form. Mr. Titus will get details from performers this week.
• Crew: Anyone who is going to help as a crew member transporting equipment on and off the floor at shows needs to purchase the Crew Polo which is item #8. We want the parents to look uniform as well as the kids.
• Item #1 “Jacket” are for performing members only.
