Marching Pride of Lawrence Township Message: Pasadena Preparation Updates

  • REMIND 101: ALL travelers attending the Pasadena Trip need to sign up for the MPLT Pride to Pasadena Remind 101. This Remind 101 is managed by the directors, used exclusively for the Pride to Pasadena trip as a means of sending real time updates, reminders, adjustments to the itinerary, or any other need to send out emergency information. To sign up, text the message @mpltrose to the number 81010.
  • For clarification: There will be school bus transportation provided for Tag Along participants from LC to the airport on 12/29/16 and the airport to LC on 1/4/17.

Marching Pride of Lawrence Township Message – Uniform Fitting Times and Help Needed!!!

Pride to Pasadena
Trip Departure Preparations and Assistance Request

Mandatory Uniform Fittings, Inventory and Packing

All Rose Parade marchers (current students and alumni) must report for a uniform fitting and garment bag inventory.

Volunteers are needed to help with the fitting and inventory process. If you have any experience with taking measurements, adjusting hems your help is really needed. As well as measuring students and adjusting uniforms, each uniform piece must be inventoried and sealed in a garment bag for transport to Pasadena.

Even if you can’t stay for the whole time, there will be tasks we could use assistance with while your students are being fitted. Please, come in and lend a hand for a few minutes!

  • Time to Celebrate! There will be a celebration of the Across and Back Season on Monday, December 12, from 6:30 – 7:30pm at LC.

Pasadena Departure Meeting:

  • Pasadena Trip Departure Meeting on December 12, from 7:45-8:45pm at LC, immediately following the MPLT Awards.
  • The trip departure meeting is mandatory for every traveler. A parent or guardian must be present with the student for this meeting.
  • Please download the Pasadena Trip Performer Contract and bring it, signed, to the meeting.

Rehearsal Schedule for the week of 12.12:

  • Tuesday, December 13th 6:30 – 9:30pm Rehearsal at LN
  • Thursday, December 15th 6:30 – 9:30pm Rehearsal at LN ($$$ Due)
  • Saturday, December 17th 10:00am – 5:00pm Rehearsal at LN

Tuition Payment Options:

1. Full Payment ($600) on or before December 15th

2. Payment Plan (4 payments)

$150 – Tuesday, December 15th 2016

Ear Plugs:

Hearing loss is a really danger for your performers. We are forced to always rehearse inside because of the elements. Please make sure you remind your performers to wear ear plugs at rehearsal. I personally purchase a two pair set from CVS for $4.99. A photo of the box is below.

Marching Pride of Lawrence Township Message: Pasadena Donations Update!

I am excited to announce that, as of this past week, the Lawrence Township School Foundation has made another payment of $250 into students’ trip accounts (their third and final payment, totaling $750 for each participating student!). It is important that all participants check their status and pay off any remaining amount due as quickly as possible. Music Travel Consultants will not know the exact amount of the final “adjustment” payment until all participants are confirmed and up-to-date with their payments. Your prompt attention in this matter will be much appreciated.

Anyone who has a positive balance due to overpayment can choose to direct this overpayment to a scholarship account. This money will be used to support others who might need some help funding their trip. If you are interested in doing so, please notify Music Travel and Matt James.

We are making one last push for donations to help get as many students to Pasadena as possible. If you wish to help, please send donations to the Lawrence Township School Foundation with “Pride to Pasadena Financial Assistance Effort” in the memo line. Students, as a holiday idea, why not put a request for money toward your Pride to Pasadena trip on your list of wishes? This may be a great way to help pay off that last amount due. These holiday gifts should be made directly to you or to Music Travel.
